My Mantra: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
Hey y’all, I’m Wanda and I’m a Spoonie in my late 40s. The migraine monster has been part of my life since grade school. Strangely enough, no one else in my family has a history of migraines. I’ve always been different and have a history of traumatic brain injury.
With Botox as my only preventative (we’ve not found another one that works), I average 24.5 migraine days out of 28. I also have a variety of migraine types. The thing is, since migraines and pain have “always” been part of my world I’ve had to learn to function through them. I also have several other chronic illnesses I battle daily.
I’ve raised two beautiful girls and have a wonderful service dog named Tucker. It is my hope to have shown and continue to show the world a face of chronic illness who chooses to become BETTER instead of BITTER.
