My Mantra: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
Hey y’all, I’m Wanda and I’m a Spoonie in my late 40s. The migraine monster has been part of my life since grade school. Strangely enough, no one else in my family has a history of migraines. I’ve always been different and have a history of traumatic brain injury.
With Botox as my only preventative (we’ve not found another one that works), I average 24.5 migraine days out of 28. I also have a variety of migraine types. The thing is, since migraines and pain have “always” been part of my world I’ve had to learn to function through them.
I’ve raised two beautiful girls and have a wonderful service dog named Tucker. It is my hope to have shown and continue to show the world a face of chronic illness who chooses to become BETTER instead of BITTER.
